Out here on the ranch, I see every day how the old, outdated model of dominance just doesn’t hold up. Anyone can force a horse to comply, but a horse that’s been pushed, ignored, or overpowered becomes unpredictable. In a real moment of crisis, that horse won’t trust its rider and the whole partnership falls apart.
Our inner world works the same way.
